The Alaskan 65' Flush Deck
The Alskan Flushdeck, offers the luxury and equipment of a much larger vessel, yet it is easily handled by an owner-operator. The 65' flushdeck successfully blends the high-tech world of fiberglass composite construction with high flared bow, deep forefoot and sharp wave entry that are the unmistakable signature of the Alaskan Yachts motor yacht.
The Alaskan's "dual-speed" hull is a semi-displacement design that can be powered for extended range with twin 415 hp Caterpillars or she can achieve speeds of 20 knots with large 705 hp CATs. Her full protective keel doesn't slow her down even in rough seas.
The new 65' Alaskan Flush Deck model is built with a wide 19'6" beam versus the former 17'2" beam of the old model. The four stateroom layout is very roomy for a 65 footer and provides generous live aboard space. This model can be built with or without a cockpit depending on buyer preferences. The cockpit model is most popular for owners wishing to extend the aft deck. This allows more space aft for a large lazarette or captain quarters. As with all Alaskans, buyers are able to do some customizing of the layout and choose their desired engines. Standard engines are the C18 which is a very economical 1,000 hp engine. The C18s also provide good speeds and will cruise the boat at 16 - 17 knots. With electronic engines,the captain can throttle back and get a 1,500 to 2,000 mile range depending on the tank sizes you build into the vessel.
The stand-up engine room features full access to all equipment and machinery with room for a work bench. This accessibility creates an environment where equipment is easily monitored and maintained insuring continuing future value and trouble-free cruising.
Standard equipment includes stabilizers, twin generators, hyd bow, stern thrusters, davit, electronics, teak, and granite.
